Adam Spencer was born on the 29th of January, so he shares his birthday with his childhood idol, Tom Selleck. He still lives in the city of his birth, Sydney, where he currently co-hosts the Triple J Breakfast Show with Wil Anderson.

His rapid rise to the presitgious Brekkie Show shift came soon after being spotted by Helen Razer at the 1996 Raw Comedy Finals, after which he became a regular guest on Razer and Judith Lucy's "Ladies Lounge" afternoon shift on Triple J. When Lucy left, Adam joined Razer as the co-host of the "Departure Lounge", and Adam stayed on to host the shift alone when Razer left in 1998.

When Mikey Robbins announced his retirement from the Brekkie Show at the end of 1998, Adam was promoted to the job, to the surprise of many, because the shift usually goes to a much more established radio personality. In 2000, Wil Anderson went from joining Adam one morning a week, to four then onto the role of full-time co-host.

With an almost completed Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics under his belt, Adam has been a fixture on the ABC-TV science scene for quite a few years now, hosting Quantum and the summertime science panel discussion show, FAQ. His encyclopedic knowledge of numbers and maths led to the release of his first book in 2000, entitled "Adam Spencer's Book Of Numbers".
