Brother Bear
Story: This is the story of three brothers during the time when the last ice age is ending. The youngest of the brothers, Kenai, will receive a totem during the coming of age ceremony by Tanana, the shaman of the village. When he gets the Bear of Love he is disappointed. But his oldest brother, Sitka, tells him to let the Great Spirits guide him. But Kenai is strongheaded and when a bear steals the fish they have catched, he goes after her. He attacks her, but his brother have to come to his rescue. Sitka offers his life to save Kenai en Denahi. While Kenai blames the bear for their brother's death, Denahi blames Kenai. Kenai decides to track the bear and kill her. When he chases her to the top of a mountain and kills her, the Great Spirits take action. Kenai is transformed into a bear himself. Denahi, who went after Kenai, sees a bear standing over the ragged clothes of his brother and believes Kenai is also killed. Denahi goes after Kenai in bear-form, but he falls off a cliff. When Kenai washes up shore, Tanana awaits him and tells him to clean the mess up he made. He must go to the Great Spirits on the place where the light touches the earth. Kenai's journey begins and he meets little Koda, a bearcub who knows the place where Kenai must travel. Together they travel there, while Denahi tracks them. During this journey Kenai starts to care about Koda, allthough he can get on his nerves. When the get to the place, Kenai understands that it was he who killed Koda's mother. When he tells him that and that he is very sorry, Koda runs. Kenai goes to the top of the mountain to call the Great Spirits, Denahi attacks him. Koda comes to his rescue and before Denahi can kill him, the Great Spirits appear before them. Kenai is transformed into his humanform again. Denahi understands what happened. But Kenai chooses to stay a bear so he can look after Koda. In the end, Kenai can put his handprints on the wall where his anchestors put there handprints after their coming of age.
