| Story: The legendary "loot of a thousand worlds" inspires an intergalactic treasure hunt when restless teen, Jim Hawkins, stumbles upon a map to the greatest pirate trove in the universe. A futuristic twist on Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Planet. The film follows Jim's fantastic journey across the universe as cabin boy aboard a majestic space galleon. Befriended by the ship's charimatic cyborg cook, Long John Silver, Jim blossoms under the guidance and shows the making of a fine shipmate as he and the alien crew battle a supernova, a black hole, and a ferocious space storm. But even greater danger lie ahead when Jim discovers that his trusted friend, Silver, is actually a scheming pirate with mutiny in mind. Confronted with a betrayal that cuts deep to his soul, Jim is transformed from boy to man as he finds the strength to face down the mutineers and discovers a treasure greater then he had ever imagined - himself. |
