| Story: Mrs. Jumbo is one of the circus-elephants and is waiting for a baby to be delivered by the storks. Finally a little baby elephant is brought to her and she calls him Jumbo Junior. All the other elephants adore him, but after he sneezes and they see his big ears, they all turn against him. They give him the nickname Dumbo. But Mrs. Jumbo loves her son, big ears or not. The circus arrives in a town and the people come to see the animals. After Mrs. Jumbo saves Dumbo from some bullying kids, she is captured and put aside. She is believed to be mad. Now Dumbo is all alone, while the other elephants ignore him. Timothy Mouse sees all this and becomes the only friend of Dumbo. He thinks that if Dumbo becomes the star of the circus, they will all love him. So Timothy whispers his plan into the ear of the ringmaster. His plan: make a pyramid of elephants and let Dumbo jump on top of it, waving a flag. This seems easy enough, but Dumbo trips over his ears and the pyramid collapses. Afterwards Dumbo is degraded to be a clown. Timothy takes Dumbo to his mother so she can comfort him. Meanwhile the clowns have an idea to use Dumbo in a dangerous stunt. When they go to tell the ringmaster about their plan, a bottle of wine falls into a bucket of water. Dumbo returns from his mother and drinks from the bucket. Little Dumbo and Timothy get drunk. The next morning when they wake up, they realise that they are in a tree! This means that Dumbo must have flown. A couple of crows help Timothy convince Dumbo that he can fly, with the help of a "magic" feather. They decide to use his flying-skills during his performance with the clowns. During the performance, Dumbo jumps off a high stage. But he loses his feather. Timothy convinces Dumbo just in time that he doesn't need the feather and Dumbo flies! When the crowd see Dumbo fly it doesn't take long for him to become the star of the circus. Mrs. Jumbo is set free and Dumbo is a star. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
