1958 - Company incorporated as Muppets, Inc.

1959 - Jim Henson and Jane Nebel are married.

1960 - The Muppets appear for the first time on "The Today Show".
Lisa Henson is born.

1961 - Cheryl Henson is born.

1962 - Rowlf the Dog is created and used for Purina commercial.
1963 - Frank Oz joins Muppets, Inc. The Muppets move to New York. Brian Henson is born.

1965 - John Henson is born.

1969 - Pilot of "Sesame Street".

1970 - Heather Henson is born. Big Bird appears on cover of Time Magazine.

1974 - Dave Goelz joins Muppets, Inc.

1976 - The first season of "The Muppet Show" is taped in England.
1977 - Jim Henson and Brian Froud agree to work on "The Dark Crystal". The second season of "The Muppet Show" is taped. Kermit the Frog balloon in Macy's Thanksgiving Parade for the first time.

1978 - "The Muppet Show Book" is published. The third season of "The Muppet Show" is taped. Filming begins in Los Angeles on "The MuppetMovie". "The Muppet Show" wins an Emmy Award. Frank Oz develops Yoda for "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back."
1979 - The fourth season of "The Muppet Show" is taped. Work begins on "The Dark Crystal". "The MuppetMovie" opens in theatres.

1980 - The fifth season of "The Muppet Show is taped". "The Great Muppet Caper" begins filming. Miss Piggy and Kermit are on the cover of LIFE Magazine.

1981 - The Creature Shop creates over 100 characters for "The Dark Crystal" in London. "The Dark Crystal" begins filming.

1982 - "Fraggle Rock" is taped in Toronto.
