Henson Records is created. 1995 - Sony Pictures and Jim Henson Productions form Jim Henson Pictures. 1996 - "The Muppet Treasure Island" in theatres. "Muppets Tonight" premieres on television. 1998 - Jim Henson Production announce "The Kermit Channel", it begins broadcasting in Latin America and Asia. Moi - Miss Piggy's perfum - avaiable at Bloomingdale. 1999 - "Farscape" debuts. The Kermit Channel launched in the US. "Muppets from Space" premieres. |
| 2000 - Jim Henson Productions purchase the Charlie Chaplin Studios. EM.TV agrees to buy Jim Henson Productions for $680 million. EM.TV sells the Kermit Channel. Hard times arrive for EM.TV and they agree to sell the rights to the Sesame Street characters for $180 million.. 2001 - Jim Henson's Muppet Vision 3D arrives at Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim. The Kermit Channel goes of air in Latin America and Asia. EM.TV finds suitors to sell Jim Henson Productions to. Muppet Fest is held for the first time in Santa Monica. |
