| Story: In this movie Bing Crosby and Basil Rathbone tell the stories of "Sleepy Hollow" and "Wind in the Willows". #1 "Sleepy Hollow": Ichabod Crane arrives in Sleepy Hollow as the new schoolteacher. He captures every lady's heart except for that of Katrina van Tassel, daugther of a wealthy farmer. Ichabod has eyes on the Van Tassel wealth, but his attempts to woo Katrina disturbs her bold suitor Brom Bones. He tries to scare Ichabod awaywith the tale of the Headless Horsemen. As Ichabod rides home that Halloween evening he encounters the terrifying phantom and is mysteriously missing the next morning, While the townspeople spread rumors of Ichabod's whereabouts, Katrina weds Brom. #2 "Wind in the Willows": Mr. Toad is the richest frog in the creek and the most excentric one too. Whenever he has a new obsession he spends his money like water. First it is a horse with a wagon, later he buys a car from a couple of weasels. When it turns out that the car was stolen, he is put in prison. He escapes the prison and with the help of Mole and Rat they find out that the Weasels has taken over Toad Hall. Their plan to put Mr. Toad in prison worked. But Rat, Mole and Mr. Toad get the evidence that Mr. Toad is innoscent and he gets his house back. But then he finds a new obsession and it will not take a lot of time to get him in new troubles. |
