| Story: Deep in the oceans live the Mermen of Mermaids of Atlantica, rules by the mighty Triton, king of the Seven Seas. Allthough contact between the seapeople and the landpeople is strictly forbidden Ariel, his youngest daughter, can't stay away from it. She collects human items and dreams about life on the land. When she falls in love with a human, Prince Eric, after saving him from drowning, there is nothing that can stand her way to keep him for her. With the help of the seawitch Ursula, she is transformed into a human, so she can go to Eric. But there is a price to pay to Ursula. Ariel has to give her voice to the seawitch. This makes it harder to convince Eric that she is the girl from his dreams. That she is the voice that he can't get out of his mind. With the help of Sebastian, Flounder and Scuttle, Ariel slowly gets closer to Eric. But Ursula tries everything to stop them from kissing so that she can remain a human forever. In the end Ariel and Eric do not kiss in time and she returns to her former form, a mermaid.She then belongs to Ursula. Triton comes to the rescue, but since Ariel signed a contract there is nothing that he can do, but Ursula has a proposition. Triton switches places with Ariel and Ursula becomes queen of the sees. A big battle explodes in and under the sea, which ends in the destuction of Ursula. Everything turns back how it was. Triton finally sees that Ariel truly love Eric and transforms her into a human. Now they can live together on land. |
