On April 22, 1998 Disney's Animal Kingdom opened its gates to the world. It is the fourth themepark at Walt Disney World.
Animal Kingdom is the largest themepark, because it contains a big piece of land where dozens of wild animals can live "free" in their natural environment. The park is divided into 6 different lands and has the magnificent Tree of Life as centrepoint, like the Magic Kingdom has its castle.

Expedition EVEREST: Set to rise on the eastern flanks of the 500-acre park, this will be a high-speed train adventure among the glaciers, canyons and caverns of the snowy Himalayas. The old mountain railway will follow a perilous course, sending riders both forward and backward to an eventual encounter with the yeti, the feared creature guarding the route to Mount Everest.
