King's Quest 2 Points List

This is the really maximum points list. It lists 185 points out of 185 !
However, you can solve puzzles in different ways. Usually, you get more points for a peaceful solution,
and less - for a violent solution. You can find different solutions at the end of this page.


Note : If you don't read inscriptions on the magic door,
events (like the mermaid appearance) won't happen !
Be sure to read the certain inscription in time !

The other ways to solve puzzles :

Note : All these solutions still let you finish the game,
except the last one (well, you finish the game, but lose it).
  • Get the cage out of the cave without covering it, if the witch is not there;
  • Do not wear cross, wear the cloak and the ring instead;
  • Do not give the soup to Granny, then give treasure to the ghoul to get across the lake and wear cross to scare away the ghosts al the gates;
  • Give treasure to the shopkeeper instead of giving her the nightingale;
  • Kill snake with the sword and then be very careful in the cortyard with the poisonous thorns;
  • Kill the lion with the sword;
  • Go home without Valanice (Don't try this unless you saved your game).
How you can lose points :

Eat soup
(irreversible) 		Anywhere -2

asked for payment

If a dwarf steals
something from you
(reversible, found in
the chest inside his house) 		Somewhere in the forest Depends on the stolen item,
usually -7, because treasures

Note 1 :"Reversible" means you can get this item back and regain your points.
"Irreversible" means you can not get this item back, neither you can regain your points.

Note 2 :I couldn't find a use for treasures in the game, except for payment.
I tried to give them to Valanice, but the game didn't allow me to.
Well, maybe she'll wear them at the wedding, they make such a lovely set :
tiara, bracelet, brooch and earrings !
