Het-Hert is the daughter of Ra and the wife of Heru (Horus). Her principal place of worship was at her temple at Dendera (see below). As the daughter of Ra she is the carrier of his divine eye and the provider of all the creature comforts of life. She is the great comforter and provider of spiritual nourishment and healing. The mirror and the sistrum are sacred to her. Her colours are coral, peach and copper. In astrology she is associated with the planet Venus and the sign Taurus. In magical work she is invoked in order to provide strength and nourishment. |
