Nesser Racing For Kids, a non-profit corporation, was formed in 2001 to raise funds for different children's charities.
In 2002, Nesser Racing For Kids raised over $10,000 to build a playground at the Baptist Children's Home Ministries Youth Ranch Campus thanks to the donations of many businesses, fellow racers and fans. The Youth Ranch is a emergency shelter for children who have been abandoned, abused or neglected whose ages range from 5 - 17 years old. The ranch is located on 163 wooded acres near the Guadalupe River. Recreational facilities available to the children include a therapuetic horseback riding arena, fishing, basketball and volleyball courts, and thanks to Jean's efforts, the addition of a state-of-the-art playground. Special thanks to the men of the Currey Creek Baptist Church in Boerne, TX and the men of First Baptist Church in Gonzales, TX for donating their time and expertise in constructing the playground.
Projects being planned in the near future is a therapuetic petting zoo at the childrens home.
