Grade III Maiden

Horses may race in a maiden race provided they have not placed first in any race.

Grade I winners not allowed.

Grade III Restricted

Horses may race in a restricted race if they have not placed first in a race or they have placed first a maximum of two times.

Grade I winners not allowed.

Grade III Claiming

All horses allowed.

Other members, for the set-claiming fee of $5,000, can claim horses entered in a claiming race.  The stable that entered the horse receives the claiming fee plus any prize money the horse wins.

The claim must be registered as a sale.

Grade I winners not allowed.

Grade III

All horses allowed.

Grade I winners not allowed.

Grade II

All horses allowed.

All horses must have placed first in a grade III race or raced in a minimum of two grades III races before they can advance to grade II races.

Grade I

All horses allowed.

All horses must meet criteria for grade II races.

All horses must have placed first in a grade II race or raced in a minimum of two grade II races before they can advance to grade I races.

Shadow Series

Fantasy Series

As criteria for grade I races.

In the event that a horse wins all three races in the series, the horse is awarded a bonus $200,000 in prize money.

A stallion that completes the series also qualifies to become a Thoroughbred Champions Famous Stallion provided the stallion has placed first is one other grade I race.
