Thank you to those who
participated in our 2009 "Time Machines Car Show and Flea Market!
We will soon have
information on our 2010 show which will be held on July 25, 2010
THE 31st TIME
MACHINES CAR SHOW AND FLEA MARKET WILL AGAIN BE HELD AT THE GUILFORD FAIRGROUNDS.
It will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2009 same as always the 4th Sunday in
July. The Guilford Fairgrounds offers us much improved facilities, just
off I-95, exit 59. There is a larger area for show cars, spectator
parking, and permanent restrooms. There will be a number of food vendors
which will eliminate lines. For those of you who have attended the
Time Machines Car Show and Flea Market in past years, we look forward to
you returning to help us celebrate our 30th Anniversary. If you have never
attended this show you should save the date Sunday, July 26, 2009 as it
is one of the largest judged car shows in Connecticut, and expected attendance
of up to 900 show cars and over 225 vendors spaces filled with various mostly
car related items. There will be approximately 34 judged show car classes.
The featured car this year will again be Chevrolet '55-57 because of last year's
rain. Most show-car
classes are by brand affiliation, and other classes include muscle cars, pick
ups, commercial, and fire apparatus. There is also a non-judged class for
special interest newer cars manufactured after 1985.
Each year we try to improve and make things more interesting, constantly rearranging the show field.
Again this year, there will be a car corral featuring cars that
are for sale.
In an effort to encourage older car participation, original,
non-modified show cars pre-dating 1930 will be allowed free
entry. Pre-registration will again be available for those wanting to plan in advance and assure themselves entry at a reduced price.
Brass color metal dash plaques and goodie bags await the
first 600 show cars. Three trophies per judged class will be
awarded. There are unique Time Machines Trophies.
Also available will be Time Machine Show t-shirts. There will be numerous free door prizes called throughout the day and a 50/50 raffle.
Food vendors will provide coffee and donuts or
breakfast, lunch, snacks, and desserts.
Check our show class listing in the show web
page or listed on the show flier. Individual show class
sponsors can be found on our web site. THIS SHOW IS
RAIN OR SHINE. In addition to the three trophies
per class, there will be trophies for:
Best of Show Best of Featured Car
Un-restored Trophies- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
This should be a fun filled day with plenty
to keep the whole family busy, checking out the flea market
and show cars. "Rocking Richard", our DJ, will keep you
entertained with his wide variety of oldies music.
