Episode One - Summary
16 SURVIVORS STRANDED ON PLANET PHAEDOS

And so it begins ...

It began with the Vortex, taking them trillions of miles from earth to one of the most unforgiving planets in the Galaxy, Phaedos. When arriving on Phaedos' rocky beach, the two new tribes each received a crate of assorted goods they could take with them; only what the tribe could carry. To the Neola tribe's delight, Goldar and Rito, while working together, were able to carry the whole unpacked crate; while the Ugatu tribe had to open the crate to select what items they could carry. The tribes split up to fing their new homes.

The Ugatu tribe will be located by the Ugatu River on the outskirts of the Neola jungle. With the Neola tribe in the Neola Jungle.

Getting Re-aquainted

Neola Tribe
With Rito and Goldar carrying everything, all the Neola tribe had to do was concentrate on was reading the map and were able to find their camp site right away. Rito and Goldar were upset that they had to carry everything by themselves are already forming an alliance and are thinking of who else they want to join it.

Ugatu Tribe
Three hours after Neola had already started building their shelter and latrine, Ugatu had just found their base camp. They were within walking distance of the ocean, although they were situated next to the Ugatu River. It was probably have been more accurately named Ugatu Creek, because it was very slow-moving, shallow, and narrow, but it did lead directly into the ocean.

Arguing broke out as to who would eat Cassie's but muscles after she starves to death because she will NOT eat rats.

Fire and Shelter

Neola Tribe
"Shelter?" Maya asked. "That should be easy. We'll just take that tarp from the crate and stretch it up through the bottom branches of the trees. That'll keep out rain, and any excess we can drape along the sides to block wind. We can build something more later."

And so they did. But ... thou they tried, Goldar Maya and Billy were unable to start a fire.

Ugatu Tribe
The Ugatu tribe's spirits had been boosted into the stratosphere when Lord Zedd had successfully started a fire by clicking his metal nails together. Although there was no food, the warmth of the fire raised their spirits.

Equality

It wont be Rangers versus the Villians out here, all players can vote, therefore all players are equaly important, and unlikly friendships are already forming.

Goldar's veiw of things -- "I don't trust any of these villains, honestly. If a villain is going to hope to win this thing, they're going to have to align with Rangers and keep one villain around to sacrifice at the end. I'm only aligning with Rito because he's so incredibly stupid. I honestly believe that I'll be able to turn Rito into my pawn. He's the Rudy, I'm the Rich. Except for me being a fat, naked fag, of course."

A Discussion at Ugatu
Karone said, rather idly, "Being a Ranger was more fun than the bad guys."
"I would imagine," Tanya agreed. "I mean, the good guys always win."
"Say what?" Lord Zedd asked, propping himself up on his elbows. "Good guys always win?"
"You didn't notice?" Divatox asked.
"It's true," Cassie said. All of the Rangers, Karone included, were nodding in unison.
"That doesn't include reality television shows, does it?" Zedd asked.
Divatox suddenly sat bolt upright from her position, leaning against Zhane. "Hey," she said softly. "That's a good point."
"Of course they could win," Leo said. "It all depends on votes and immunity challenges. Absolutely any one of us could win."

Strategy

Neola Tribe
"We're going to have an Immunity Challenge tomorrow," Billy said. "I think we stand a real chance of winning it if we can get some significant rest today, and that means only taking care of the bare essentials before the Challenge."
"Basic shelter and latrine?" Katherine asked.
"That's what I was thinking," Billy said.

~

Kat said, "Teamwork. That's the only way we stand a chance this afternoon. For the whole game."

Ugatu Tribe
"Food could give us a real edge in the competition this afternoon," Leo speculated. He was standing off to the side, already shirtless.

Reward/Immunity Challenge - Fire and Water Expedition

"Today's challenge is both Immunity and Reward. Whoever wins will receive fifty waterproof matches, and best yet, immunity. Win immunity, and you stay on the planet a few days longer. Lose, and you must make the long journey to the Tribal Council, where you must vote off one of your own."

The two tribes arrived at the Challenge Beach to meet host Jeff Probst, who explained the rules of the challenge: There are two fire buoys, about two hundred feet out in the water. Your job is for all of you to race across the beach, down to the ocean, and take your torch out to your buoy, light it, and swim back to the beach. Upon reaching the beach, you must hurry to the torches and light each one in your row. All torches must be lit. Then, hurry to the Fire Idol, and the first to light it wins the Immunity Idol. The first tribe to do this wins. But as always, there is a catch -- the whole team will be shackled together.

Neola quickly took the lead, but lost it when Goldar's armor caused him to to sink, not swim. Ugatu got their torch lit first with Neola 20 feet away. The gap betwwen the tribes was leesened when Ugatu stumbled, bringing the whole tribe down. And then they were 10 feet apart. Ugatu began lighting torched just barely ahead of Neola. But they weren't to pass their opposing tribe. With Karone lighting the Fire Idol, Ugatu wins Immunity! (and 50 matches)

Neola would have to return to camp for another cold and dark night, and the next day make the hike to Tribal Council -- the Ninjetti Temple.

The Vote

With the vote coming up strategies and alliances are being made, and people are feeling vulnerable.

Maya's observations -- "As I see it, there are three people who may be going today. Goldar, Rita, or me. I am definitely the outsider here. There are bonds already established, and I just don't fit in with any of them. Billy, Kimberly, and Kat were all on the first generation team, so they're pretty tight. Goldar and Rito are practically inseparable, and Rita is kind of floating around both of those groups. She's a villain, so she's got Goldar and Rito, but at the same time, she was the villain when Billy and Kim were active Rangers, and Kat and Rita have some weird bond, so she could even fit in with them. I had hoped to bond with TJ. We've met before, but... It just didn't work out that way. For some reason I can't explain, he's bonded with Rita. Rita and TJ are already close after just three days. I have no one. I'm a hard worker, and some people here are not, but... I'm worried they'll get rid of me because I don't have a niche here yet."

Tribal Council was located on the highest mountain in the area. Their journey took them up a narrow ledge, across an expanse of desert, and then up a literal mountain. But finally, well over an hour after they left Neola camp, they arrived at the Tribal Council.

With Rita getting one vote and Goldar getting two, it was Billy who received four votes and was told to leave Phaedos. Billy's departure signaled that Neola now put a premium on Survivor friends and allies and not prievious associations. Inteligent Billy failed at getting to know his *new* team mates.

Survivor is back, and on day three, Billy Cranston, a former Blue Ranger and student from Angel Grove, became the first Survivor to be voted out off the Planet.
