| Quidditch Place, Simply The Best First Book Review, The First Harry Potter book is not a literature classic. But it dose manage to get the message across. Im am not saying the book is not well writen the fact is its not a very challenging read. That is why the books became popular in the the first place a quick easy intresting read. Just before I begin the formal review I rate it 7 and a half out of 10. The first book begin with a quick introduction to Harrys history his fantasies and his reality. He sees himself as an eleven year old quite unhappy boy. But when Hagrid (his half giant friend) meets up with him things begin to change. He discovers via Hagrid the secret the Dursleys (his aunt and uncle and to an extent his fat cousin Dudley) had kept from him for eleven years that he is a wizard. The idea of a wizard is common and the idea of a boy who is mistreated and finds out that he is special is equally common. He also discovers he has to attend wizards school (Hogwarts. I thought it was rather intresting how the Durselys let him go to Hogwarts. Even it could be said Hagrid forces them to let him go this quite untrue. Im sure they would stop in real life. However it is not. So I will continue. After he discovers he is a wizard he has a short shopping spree if you like at Diagon Alley ( a wizards mall) .
