I was looking at serveral cars before buying the Altima. WRX, RSX, Celica, BMW 3'er, were several cars I was considering. I found that the Altima was the best bang for the buck. It's quicker then the 3 series, roomier and more comftorable then the WRX and faster then the RSX and Celica. Besides, I wanted to stick with Nissan, plus this exact one was Nissans official show car at the Cal Expo autoshow. Of course, I would rather get the 350z but thats another story, maybee in a few years. After all, it's nice beating a Porsche Boxster in a four door sedan. My goals for this car aren't to lavish. Im going to keep it nice and simple as far as exterior modicications go. I want the luxury sports sedan look, sort of like a Mercedes 55AMG or a Bimmer. I dont want this car to look like rice pudding. Besides, whats better then smoking some guy in a Bimmer or a Mustang GT in a totaly sleeper Altima. Im deffinetly dropping it, not only for performance but the front wheel gap is pretty ugly. I might get a Speedz GTR front bumper, check out the pic on this page. Some rims in the future will do. I'm quite satisfied with the stock Bose audio system, its more then enough for my collection of Russian and Ukrainian Techno/Dance/Folk music. Performance wise the VQ35DE comes punching and kicking from the factory, but thats not enough for me. I am going to install all the bolt-on's currently available for this car and maybee upgrade the ECU. I have already embarassed plenty of guys weekend nights. Some of the more better kills include a 2005 WRX off a 30mph roll on, got him by 2 1/2 or 3 car lenghts at 120mph on Sunrise Ave. Another one was a modded Eclipse GSX or GST off the line. The 3 rustangs, I mean mustangs behind him, including two 5.0s and a GT wouldn't stage me, even after I taunted them for about 2 miles, thats just shameful. The Altima is a perfect sleeper car. I will soon be posting up my street racing list. My Altima Gallery 1 Gallery 2 Injen CAI Install Sign My Guestbook, tell me what you think, have any cool ideas, post a link to your sick ride. That hole in the dealer plate was made when I drove through a flock of dragonflies at about 80mph. On the left foglight you can see the chrome housing is at the bottom, it shattered as well. Theres also small paint chips and scratches from that. Later I noticed that acceleration was a little sluggish, first thing I checked was the air filter. Popped the air box and there was about 30 dragonflies in there restricting air flow, vaccumed them out and 'lag' was gone. So never drive through flocks of dragonflies or birds, messes up bodywork for sure |
235/45/17 Hankook Venntus Sport, stick like glue, good price. I actually wanted to get the Falken Azenis but no one had them. Kumho makes a good bang-for-the-buck tire for 3d gen Alty's aswell, $80 each. I bought Kumho's for my Z's rear and when half tread is gone you don't feel as bad going out and finishing them off. |
Going to lower it with Eibach Sportline Springs, check out the front wheel gap. Maybee later a Nismo S-Tune Suspension Kit, but it's so expensive, $1,500. Ive seen used ones for $450. |
