End of the Season Wrap-Up
The Chauncywire: A Season of Fate's Perfection.  Well, not quite, but the Swingers did manage to win their last scheduled game of the year last night.  The Swingers won in dramatic fashion over 2nd place Discount Auto in a summer night classic.  ESPN is rumored to want the rights to the game for their classic sports channel.  Newly acquired bat boy and book keeper Peter "the gangster" Runge said, "It was my first time at the ball park and I was treated to an instant classic.  This is a game that will be shown year after year.  TIMMAH!!"  The Swingers looked a little different on the field.  Again there were only nine players due to some last minute injuries and absences.  Missing from the game was the legend Craig Gater, Brad "I'm the driver of this" Buss, and the Swinger formely known as Brock.  Making due with last minute substitutions the Swingers picked up little league MVP Chico Walker and the manchild Barney Dubble.  Mr. Nasty Boy himself held to his pregame guarentee by striking out two batters.  One of the strikeouts was on two pitches with the batter just frozen by the heat Barney was bringing.  The other K was from a knuckle ball that refused to move.  "I knew when the ball was released that the poor kid didn't have a chance.  I started laughing before the ball started coming down without any rotation.  The kid just looked stupid up there," cornrows Nizzle.  The BK broiler went yard twice on the night on the wishes of the catcher.  "The big fella said that he didn't want me to make him run, so I just sat back and unloaded.  I mean, when the original little league all-star doesn't want to run, you better not make him.  I am just glad to be back on the team after a season spent in rehab."  The 1 made a dream-like move to the 6-hole after a season of wishing.  "I got so excited to actually play the field that I over-ran the first couple of hits.  I just had to slow down and pretend that I had Neumann-type speed to go after the balls.  I am just too fast.  I need to put on some more weight so I won't over-run the ball next year.  The throw-back jersey will make another appearance at the six-hole."  Duance also came out of his slump with a shot to the fence using BK's cricket mallet.  With Big Wank Skeezie moving to short, Dakota had to move to third.  "I got pretty bored.  Nobody wanted to hit it to me.  I didn't even take the field one inning.  I just sat and drank.  Next game we are going to experiment with two-catchers and no thirdbaseman.  All I have to do as the second catcher is go and get the foul pop-ups."  ISU-bound DJ had another solid game in the field with some great scoops and nice throws.  "The kid is starting to firm up and look solid out there.  The infield is finally starting to come together, both on and off the field," Jason.  Last, but definetly not least is the MVP for the second straight game, "I'm a big fat stud" Motts.  He hit the game winning shot for a second straight game.  "I just go out there and try to do good.  Cause you wanna do good, and you wanna be good, and I think we did good."   This is Chauncy, signing off.
