Matt is seen as the 'cool one' out of the group. He keeps to himself and doesn't reveal his feelings. His main aim is to protect his little brother T.K. from the dangers of the digital world. Matt is also constantly thinking about the safety of the others, and always ends up with an argument with Tai over this. Matt's crest fits him well, because he is constantly thinking of his friends before himself. He had the issue of not knowing what friendship was, in which many evil digimon such as Cherrymon tried to take advantage of him. When Matt realised who his real friends were, this enabled garurumon to warp digivolve to Metal garurumon and destroyed Puppetmon once and for all.
In the real world, Matt's parents are divorced and Matt goes off to live with his dad, while T.K. goes off to live with his mum. |
