Sidney Payne Born January 30, 1830 Wiltshire, England Died November 29, 1890 Married 1855 Susan Jory Born 1829 England Died 1873 Frances Charlotte Maguire Born 1834 Cavan Township Died January 27, 1910 Their parents: Sidney was the son of Lazarus Payne and Priscilla King. Susan was the daughter of Joseph Jory (1800-1888) and Susanna Olver (1789-1852). Their children: Celestia Charlotte (1856-1911) married James Dewart living on a farm in Dummer Township. William King (1859-1931) married Adeline Evelyn Choate. Uriah Sidney (1861-1942) married Louisa Tucker, Sarah Ellen Elliott Gormley who farmed in Douro Township before moving into the hamlet of Warsaw. Mary Lavina (1861-1933). Uriah's twin did not marry. Sidney and Frances' chid: Frances Priscilla Victoria (about1875-?) married Richard Hugh Kidd and together they moved out to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to farm.

Sidney Payne

Together Susan and Sidney lived on the Payne family farm in Douro Township. Later Sidney moved across the boundary to the Dummer Township farm.
