About Us
"A Breast Cancer Support Group"
"Your Bosom Buddies" II is a Breast Cancer Support Group start in March of 2000.  We are a sister group to "Your Bosom Buddies" in Kendall, Florida.  Between both groups, we have close to 600 survivors, and we keep growing.  Our goal is to be a "buddie" to anyone who needs us, from your initial diagnosis, through surgery, through chemotherapy/radiation, through healing.  Susan Koman and "Your Bosom Buddies" are working together on a new program called "A Buddie for You", initiated by Linda Burrowes, our founder.  Linda had received many awards for her tiredless efforts in promoting breast cancer awareness.  The "Kendall" group meets the third Thursday of each month.  "Your Bosom Buddies II" meets the second Thursday of each month.

We invite a variety of guest speakers who present education, laughter, yoga, therapy, anything that our survivors need.  Occasionally we have our "special" meeting when all of "Your Bosom Buddies" are the guest speakers.  At these meetings, we share our expeiences and our knowledge, especially to the new members.

We enjoy doing things together as a group.  We celebrate another year of survivorship, we walk, we race, we fundraise.  We wrap presents for chimps.  We just recently returned from a cruise to the Bahamas.

The most wonderful thing about "You Bosom Buddies", is that we have really become a family.  We know each other's spouses, boyfriends, children, parents, siblings, and friends.  Keeping in close touch with our Buddies through it all, is what we're all about.

Please call on us if you need us.
Next meeting of Your Bosom Buddies II: Every 2nd Thursday of each month, 7:00 PM in the Conference Room at Wellington Regional Medical Center. The address is 10101 Forest Hill Blvd.; Corner of State Road 7/441.
