WhyMe- I'm to shy to make friends

I am going to be a junior this year. In my 2 past years in high school i have made only a few new friends. In the classes i didnt have friends in i was so shy and quiet and people would call me shy and i hated it. I have been trying for awhile to be more talkative and i think this summer i have sorta change...where i work there is a lot of people and i am pretty talkative around them and i think it might be easier for me to meet new people this year but the thing is i am not good at starting converstaions. I mean i know i could say "whats ur name" and stuff like that...but then wut? and wut if its someone who was in my class last year who i never talked to...i cant ask there name if i knew them already. Any ideas on wut i should do??? Thanks

ask them what classes they are in or if they did anything over the summer. I really dont know. Just start a conversation about anything that comes to your mind that would be interesting to talk about. Im sure you will think of something. - L |
