My name is Paul Hendrickson. I'm a freshman majoring in telecommunications at Ball State University in Indiana, and I'm a Lambda Chi. I graduated from Carmel High School in 2000, where I served as vice president of my class of nearly 800 people. I'm 19 years old, and I have three awesome older sisters. Kari, 26, is a doctor, Lori, 23, is a student at IUPUI, and Teri, 22, works with computers $$$. I can honestly say they helped shape me into the person I am today, which is a good thing! My parents, Alan and Anne, are the best. They were not too strict in raising me, they were very supportive, and they trusted me to make the right decisions, which I usually did!
The most important thing in my life is my relationship with God. I am a Christian, and my faith in Jesus Christ is the ultimate factor into how I live my life. My faith has led me to be a loving, carefree person. Whenever a problem arises, I try to put things in perspective, which usually limits my stress. After 19 years on earth, I've learned it's not how much money you have, what possessions you own, or who you know that brings you true happiness. Sure, those things are nice, but true happiness to me is living for God and having people in my life to unconditionally love and care for. Love is the greatest gift and to love others and bring a smile to their face is what truly makes me happy.

Watching the Indiana Pacers is one of my favorite things to do. Last year when they made it to the finals, my friends and I would have a party for every game.  Jalen Rose is my favorite player. Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Knicks when he dunked the ball at the buzzer to seal the victory put my friends and I into hysteria. Here is a picture of us seconds after the victory. That's me in the #5 Rose jersey!

Another big hobby of mine is the music of Dave Matthews. I trade and collect many of his live shows, due to the fact the band has an open taping policy at all their shows. I love his music and the depth of his lyrics. For any Dave fans out there, my favorite song is #41. I've actually met him twice. He was the nicest, most humble man, although this picture would lead you to believe otherwise.
In my free time, I love to play the guitar. I have an acoustic electric Takamine guitar which I will never part with. I'm self-taught and I've been playing for over 3 years now. I'm a much better player than singer, but I still love to write songs. I've written around 10 full songs, mainly for and about a certain girl, and she makes me feel like a rock star, so I keep writing. If I was a rock star, I would want to be Jon Bon Jovi. I'm comfortable enough with myself to admit that I'm a big Bon Jovi fan. Last summer my friend Nate and I dressed up like Bon Jovi groupies and went to his concert. It was awesome and the ladies went nuts! I don't think I've ever pumped my fists as hard as I did when they played "Living On A Prayer." There is just nothing like an 80's band to bring my spirits up.
As well as writing songs, I'm also into writing movies. For fun, I'm writing a comedy right now based around a high school reunion. I've got most of the ideas down, and I'm just starting actual script writing. Although I plan to go into sales and management as my major, I hope to one day sell my script and possibly produce it.
Although I'm only 19, another hobby of mine is playing roulette. On Spring Break last year, my friends and I went to the Bahamas where the gambling age is only 18. I'm not a big time gambling man, but when I walked by the roulette tables, I was drawn in. I guess the real reason I like it is because I won $300 that week. My strategy was to, as Wesley Snipes put it in Passenger 57, "Always bet on black." The picture is Kelsey and I at the roulette table where I did most of the damage. It looks like she is comforting me because I lost it all, but it's really just a pose. Also that week, after a rough night at the tables, my good luck charm, Kelsey, my best friend, Andrew, and another friend all met Brian Setzer outside of the casino. All I can say about him is his hair is out of control. Spring Break 2000 was by the far the best week of my life!
