Fuck it, I was never really in the scouts anyway.
Enough procrastinating. I know I promised a post two weeks ago, and all I can say on my behalf is... I'm lazy? Yeah, that's about it.
A lot's happened since my last real update. I took my SATs and got my results back with an 1180, which I am very proud of. With that score, I got my acceptance letter from Purdue University sometime last week, which I am also really proud of. I applied to Purdue for Computer Graphics Technology and as an alternate, Computer Technology. Kind of sucks that I didn't get in for my first choice, but that's not even what I have a thought about doing anymore. I was actually kind of worried about if I was going to get in or not. But actually, for all my talk of wanting to go to Purdue, I don't think I'm going to. I've also applied to Indiana University Southeast and Ball State University. Both are much, much cheaper and IUS is so much closer. Now I really can't decide which of those two I want to go to if I get in Ball State. IUS is pretty much a guarantee, unless they don't even look at transcripts and standardized test scores.
I've pretty much made up my mind, now, as for my mojor. Well, not a specific major, but more a field of study: business. I've really always had a 'dream' of opening up an internet cafe in Louisville or some other notable city. I think it would be really prosperous and business management is something I think I'd enjoy. Not to mention getting to work with computers all day, too. Not that I really expect it to happen, but Lucas said he'd go in partners with me in about four and a half years, which would be awesome because by then he'll have some money to spare for a side job/business. Also, I asked my mathematics teacher if she'd be interested in working for me if I ever did start up a business and she said she would love to; all I have to do is call her whenever I get it up and going and she'd do my books and finance. Nice, huh? Maybe I should get it in writing....
Recently got back into playing Magic: The Gathering. Have quite a few good cards, which I mostly got from Cling and some other friends, but I have bought a few myself or traded for some. Hopefully what happened last time we were into Magic won't happen again. When one player spends thirty dollars a week on cards, it gets kind of one sided.
Ooh! Since my last post, I've beaten both Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X and have started another game of Final Fantasy VII. With Christmas so close and me expecting to get Final Fantasy X-2, I probably won't be able to finish FFVII, but that's okay.... It's sweet to play anyway. Anyway, as for Kingdom Hearts and FFX... all I have to say is 'Wow.' They were both great games. I can't really decide which I like better, but if I had to choose, I think I would have to say Kingdom Hearts. Again, both games were amazing, but the battle system and the story of KH were just simply exquisite. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, is coming to the Game Boy Advance sometime next year, and I really can't wait. That is one of the main reasons I want to get a GBA SP for my birthday in February. Well, that and it has some other great games like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. Oh, and along with those is the fact that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube requires a GBA to play.
Something else that I'd like to point out to any of you who I haven't bugged about it already is Child's Play from Penny Arcade. PA started a toy drive for the Seattle Children's Hospital which as of Dec. 9th or something like that they had over $64,000 worth of stuff, and I'm sure they've doubled that by now. Just check out the site and the pictures, especially picture number 47 and 48. Awesome.
Yes, I'm lazy. I'll try to keep up with this more often now that I'm not swamped with finals projects and all kinds of other shit, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.
-Nomac Have fun, take care, until again. |
