Cradle of Hope
Xena and Gabrielle wake up to hear a crying. They look around and find a baby in a cradle in a lake. They don't know who or why someone put the baby there, but they take it anyway. Next, they come across an angry mob who is about to kill a lady because her name is Pandora(related to the Pandora who opened the box). Xena frees her and asks why they were killing her. She said it's because of her name, but they don't realize that if they do kill her, then man will lose hope becasue hope would then be destroyed if the box ever opened. Only she could keep it from opening. Xena, Gabrielle, Pandora, and the baby go to a tavern, where a warlord steals the box. Pandora insists she get it back before midnight, so Xena goes undercover to get the box back. She becomes a Harem dancer, and is chosen to go to the warlord's bed. She then knocks him unconsciences, takes the box, and gives it back to Pandora. The group is then found by the bad guys, and a funny scence insues which Xena and Gabrielle throw the baby around while trying to save their own skins. The king(who was the one who put the baby in the lake becuase he was told it would take his power away) then adopts the baby, and marries Pandora. Pandora's box is put in the treasury for safe keeping, but Gabrielle(by accident) flips it over, the box opens, and discover the box is empty.

The Path Not Taken
A young princess is kidnapped to cause a war between two kingdoms. Xena goes to the rescue using her former fame as a warlord to get into the camp to rescue the princess. Several people recognized Xena, including an old flame, Marcus. Marcus thinks she's there to steal the weapons, and she lets him keep on thinking that until he find her putting the princess in a basket so she can go back to her father. Marcus is confused, but the soilders begin battling with Xena for the princess. He regrets having called the soilders on Xena. Suddenly, he sees one of the men aiming an arrow at the princess, he uses his body as a shield and dies. Xena kills that man, then sings and mourns at Marcus' funeral.




Warrior...Princess
This is the episode that started all the Xena look alikes in the other shows. In this one(the first) someone is trying to murder the Princess(Diana). Amazingly, Xena looks exactly like Diana. The king seeing the resemblence, asks for Xena to take Diana's place till they find out who is trying to murder Diana. A very comical scene is where each is changing into each other's clothes and Diana adds some red ribbons to Xena's outfit. Xena takes them off saying "I'm not a bright person". Xena then meets the man that Diana loves, but cannot marry since she is engaged to a prince who she does not love. Back to Diana and Gabrielle, Diana notices Xena's chakram and throws it. It bounces between trees, then comes back to Diana who then calls it the "Round Killing Thing". Finally, Diana and Xena "switch" back places for Diana's wedding. Right when "Diana" and the prince are saying their vows, the asassin tries to kill them both, but Diana turns out to be Xena and saves the day.

Is There A Doctor in the House?

Xena and Gabrielle are going to Athens, they decide to take the shorter route where a civil war is being held. In the bushes they meet a pregant Ephiny whose husband was killed by one of the soilders. Xena goes to look for a safe place for Ephiny to have her baby. Xena then sees a man on horseback chasing a foot soilder. She wounds the man on the horse, and takes him and Ephiny to a healing temple. Once there, she begins to use her healing skills to save people. Galen believes she is desecrating the temple,but Hippocrates pursuades Galen to let Xena stay. Then, a soilder walks in and asks Gabrielle if she will go outside and bring his little boy there cause he didn't see him. Moments later, Gabrielle and a soilder are brought in. Gabrielle has wounded the soilder who hurt her, but she is having trouble breathing. To complicate matters, the fighting comes around the temple, most of the patients are evacuated. Ephiny gives birth to a baby centaur, then Gabrielle starts convulsing and stops breathing. Xena starts pounding on her chest screaming and sobbing that Gabrielle can't die, she won't let it happen and invents modern day CPR(sure she does). Gabrielle finally gasps, and is brought back to life.
DISCLAIMER: Being that war is hell, lots of people were harmed during the production of this motion picture (but since television is a dramatic medium of make believe, all casualties removed their prosthetic make-up and went home unscathed).
