Well, lets' see...I was born and raised in New York, but because of an English parent, spent a lot of time on the other side of the pond, which was one of the best things about growing up (how many other American kids get to play in a castle?). Then again, just growing up in New York was pretty remarkable. Personality wise, I would say I'm on the out-going/excessively hyper side. Can't sit still for too long or else I get itchy, and itchy usually leads to lots of fun and a late night out (which my body insists on telling me it's too old to handle - naturally, I never listen) *g*

I didn't have access to my own computer at the time and use to hogg the internet station at the public library to read and post on the forum out of despriation to converse with like-minded people who share my passion for all things Highlander. On April 9, 1998, in the midst of the insanity at Anahome (the Forum's answer to the Anaheim HL convention, for those unable to attend same), I posted, as a joke, the question, "How 'bout a new clan?".... for ladies over 40: I'd recently discovered, after studying this wonderful site, that the Forum had surprisingly many of us. Et voila!! The Clan That Was Waiting to Happen was born. Mothe the Marvelous volunteered to co-chief with me (or it *never* would have gotten off the ground) a couple of weeks later, after many suggestions and a vote, we became....the Clan MacWoW (an acronym for Women of Wisdom, or, well, whatever our fancy suggests to us, and it suggests plenty!!!
I will be 47 in June of '98, am married, and the proud SAH mother of one Jearak MacWoW, Jr., age almost 15, and "junior male advisor" to the Clan MacWoW. I collect fashion dolls, and enjoy (besides HL, and ponticating at length about same on the Rysher Forum) crochet, particularly historical lace crochet costumes for said dolls gardening reading, especially fantasy, historical novels, British history, ancient history, and anything involving King Arthur and last but not least, writing.
My most enjoyable experience of late has been getting to meet my co-chieftain mothe and clansisters Caledonian, Cottleston, and dreamfish at our recent WoWildwood mini-con, a clan gathering at dreamfish's home to watch N2B together, and at once mourn the demise of HL and celebrate its immortality, in a manner of speaking, and the pleasure we have had from it over the last six years. A WoWonderful time was had by all. Especially old auntie e!!!

I'm a poverty-stricken college student who feels completely out of
her element in the South. My Nu Yawk accent gets mimicked about 30 times
a day by the Marylanders around me. I haven't seen HL since Barfangel (hawk,
spit) and I've had to satisfy my cravings by reading all the fanfic on
the net. Richie is hands down my favorite fictional character of all time
and Methos is a close second. TPTB could not possibly do anything stupider
than when they made it look like ONH killed my baby. Clan Denial knows
the truth, and that's why I became the discussion leader of the support
group for the victims of characterization rape. I'm also the official house-sitter
of Richie's righteous bachelor pad, a Dark Richie Flag Waver (take no prisoners,
take no s*** !), and a firm believer in all things good and Richie Ryan.
