If you would like to join our weekend retreat, the first thing to do is
to contact either of us (tel. details below) or email tennisretreat@yahoo.com and introduce
yourself. Many of our retreaters know
either Joran or Morgan from previous retreats or through taking tennis classes
from Joran, but for those of you who are responding after picking up a leaflet
from one of our selected locations, we understand that it can feel a little
strange transferring a money payment without knowing anything about the
recipient. Alternately, we like to
familiarize ourselves with our retreaters before we meet in person so we’re not
complete strangers. Everything you
probably need to know is contained in this website but it’s natural to have
questions on specific issues, so we’re more than willing to offer any additional
information you may need.
Numbers for the weekend retreat will be limited to 18 people, and
reservations can be made in our “join section. After making contact with either Joran or Morgan, the best way to
proceed is to transfer payment for the weekend to the bank account listed at
the top of the sign-up page, and then confirm that payment by submitting the
sign-up page. We will then send you an
email confirming that your payment has been received and your reservation is
secured.
Ideally, funds and sign-up should be completed at least 5 working days
before the weekend retreat. If you are
unavoidably delayed in signing up, please contact either Joran or Morgan to
ensure your spot.
We
have expenses that we must pay in advance based on the number of reservations
we receive i.e. shopping for supplies etc?herefore, unfortunately, we are
forced to have a cancellation charge for cancellations made during the week
preceding the retreat. The details are
as follows:
- Cancellations made less than 3 days before
the retreat i.e. the Wednesday, Thursday & Friday before the retreat
weekend, will incur a penalty of 20,000yen i.e. you will receive a refund of
5,000yen.
- Cancellations made 4-5 days before the
weekend i.e. Monday or Tuesday before the weekend, will incur a 10,000yen
penalty i.e. you will receive a refund of 15,000yen.
- Cancellations made more than 5 days before
the weekend i.e. the weekend before and beyond, will incur a penalty of 500yen
to cover the cost of returning your money in full via bank transfer.
- If we cancel the retreat due to forecasted
bad weather or insufficient numbers, you will receive a full refund with no charge for the cost of returning your money via bank transfer.
- If you are signed up as a family or part of a
larger group, and for some reason one person in that family or group has to
cancel during the final week, consideration will be given regarding
cancellation charge on a case by case basis.
