The picture on top shows the church building as it was in 1998 when the Cleveland Mission arrived in Teotepeque.

The one below shows the same view after the installation of the new marble altar and ambo in October 2002.

We have tried to involve parishioners in every stage of planning, development and fund raising.  We have also worked to respect the people's tastes in art, maintaining a Latin flavor and culture in the church design.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What has changed?

New sound system.

Faux stained glass windows depicting biblical scenes.

Drop ceiling provides cooler church with better sound.

Ceiling fans.

Lighting fixtures.

Wood of cross was changed; corpus was repainted in Guatemala.

Sanctuary lowered one step and extended back.

New statue of the Immaculate Conception.

Fixed altar and ambo made of Italian marble.

New tabernacle.

Aging pews replaced with newer, more solid and uniform pews.

Number of pews was doubled to accommodate increased attendance.
