Lost and Found
Morning Love
Psalm 62
The darkness comes in, enveloping the night,
Consuming all, deepening this mortal's plight.
Love is gone, joy is lost,
A moments' pleasure bought at such a high cost.
Depression and despair envelope the very being,
Death and Despair, darkness: all that I'm seeing.
Then a pinprick of light shines in the deep,
Bursting through, giving light for all to keep.
A Beacon of love set so firm and so true,
Shining His love for me, and for you.

As the days and nights pass
weeks merge into months so fast
The future knocks on the door
and you realize life won't last
The past clings to your footstep
Forever recording that track
and you look mournfully back
realizing there's something you lack
But ahead a light shines bright
yet its so very hard to tell
whether it is the light of Heaven
or the fires of Hell
But then you see the narrow gate
and know its the only true way
you pray to God you're not too late
as you're released from sin's weight.

In the morning, the sunshine rises bright
to shed its warmth and light on those in need
to warm the heart and chase away the night
spreading happiness as a wind blown seed
and giving love so plain for all to read
looking at the sun, this love do I see
and surely, surely, this love do I heed
hoping that this light is meant but for me
with this love and light, in Heaven I'll be

My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved.
In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
And my refuge, is in God.
