7- For those checking my journal, I am so sorry I haven't been keeping it up very good. I finally got a job and moved to back to Nevada. I am happy to have the job, thats for sure, but I miss Portland!!!! I feel great! I am down 35.5 pounds in 6 weeks. I am a little frustrated because I have leveled off twice now where the scale just isn't moving. If you look at my pic, you really can't see the difference yet, but I am starting to feel it. I think this last week I have started to really lose inches. I put on a pair of jeans that were very snug before surgery and they just fall off me now. I went through my closet and got rid of about 65% of my stuff already. I bought two new pairs of pants and one was 2 sizes smaller and one was 3 sizes smaller.. yeah!!!! I am doing great with food. One thing is I try not to talk to anyone while I am eating. I need to focus on small bites and chewing well. So far, I have only thrown-up twice so I am pleased with that low number and want to keep it that way. I have eaten things I shouldn't like mash potatos, bread and milk but it settled well and I still eat my protien first. Water is now feeling much better. That second/third week was killer, I felt terrible, week, dizzy, sick, you name it.... I was so frustrated. Close to the end of the third week, I started to get ALOT more energy back and now I feel great. I have tons of energy, but my feet still hurt when I am on them too much (could be the extra 130 pounds I still have on them haha). I am starting water arobics with a friend next week, i am really excited! I heard its the best thing for toning. I have already seen the first sign of sagging skin; Its on my inner thigh, but I guess that is a "good" sign.. just not pleasing to the eye.. hahah |

6 - I am doing great! I hit 50 pounds! I am so excited that I am about 1/3 of the way to my goal. I am so busy all the time and I almost have enough energy for everything I do (or want to do). My clothes are really starting to fall off of me. I went through some clothes that I haven't worn in a while and they were way too big. I had to get rid of them! I went shopping in the garage a couple weeks ago. I went through a box of clothes that I haven't worn in about 7-8 years and most of them fit. I still have some left in the box that I will try again in about another 20-30 pounds. As far as food goes, I have tried pasta and can handle it fine but I try to keep my portions small. I am soooo tired of chicken as that is about all I eat for protien. I have been trying to get more fish and I have tried just a little tiny bit of red meat. The most easy thing on my stomach is still beans. I recently cashed in my IRA to put on my medical bills. I now owe under $30k so that is exciting. I received about 1% of the surgery cost in donations so that helped initially until I got my first paycheck. Thankfully I am staying with an old friend who isn't charging me for rent right now so I can make some progress on my medical bills. I have been working really hard to fix her place up though and spent a bit of money in the process.. so we are helping eachother, I guess. I bought a book of hikes around Las Vegas and want to start taking short hikes. I have started water arobics and love it. It is not as hard as regular arobics, but it is far from easy. The water crunches really work the abs!!!!
15 - MM #2 - I was laying on my side in bed and ... Oh, My God, I could feel my ribs! :-)
20 - Three months after the surgery. I feel great! I am down 57 pounds. I was really hoping that somehow 3 pounds would just disappear last night to make it an even 60, but it will happen soon enough. I am running out of clothes to wear. I toss something out almost everyday. My trunk is full of clothes to go to goodwill. I haven't bought much new stuff yet though. I don't like shopping for clothes.. I never have, even when I was thinner. |
