Historic Bedford Street
Fall Folliage
As winter was quickly approaching, we realized that we weren't quite ready for prime time on the B& B nor the rental on the duplex.  We had watched the fall foliage change over and now we were into raking and reducing the large B & B to an a efficiency for our brother, the new B&B manager.  We found hidden pocket doors in the walls adjoining the dining area and the living room that appeared to be untouched for over 60 years.

We purchased floor rugs to help with the heating bill and put wallpaper up in the dining room.  We set to task on cleaning the 53 double hung windows complete with storms amd buying curtains for the place.

We personally had lived behind the cover of sheets and blankets on the windows and doors since September.  We heard many a neighbor ask us when we would get matching curtains up...

But one cannot imagine the time it takes to dress that many windows, the cost of so many and the fact that stores normally only carry three or four of the same type curtain at one time!

We had the chance to see the Folliage change... only briefly though.  We were extremely busy working on the property.

We knew nothing of restoration.  But, we found these pocket doors well-hidden in the wall..
