ABOUT US

Mommy's little helpers We live on a small farm about a half hour northeast of Red Deer, Alberta (Canada). We have four children, two girls, two boys. We got our first Australian Shepherd "Copper" in 94, he soon proved he was worth his weight in gold. No more chasing those miserable cows around the quarter section for me.

Shortly after we came across our first Belgian Shepherd "Hawk", he was gorgeous and more brilliant than any dog I had ever owned. Hawk looking for the frisbee I was hooked, having been raised with purebreds (pugs)and dog shows, I Knew exactly what I was going to do with that dog. Unfortunately it was not to be, just before his first show Hawk seized, he was neutered and his breeder notified. We were fortunate that his epilepsy was not severe or frequent however it did reinforce in my mind the need to learn about and screen for genetic diseases in dogs used for breeding. I hope I have not discouraged anyone by mentioning this experience as the Belgian is really a relatively healthy breed. 3 pups snuggling up to dad

About five years later we had our first Belgian litter and
have very much enjoyed watching them grow. It was very
interesting to watch the family interactions and see the role
dad played in raising his pups .
like father, like son Two of these pups easily picked up their championship titles.
I am quite pleased with the movement, structure and carriage
of this litter and they aquired their fathers easy,
outgoing attitude.

I have always enjoyed training animals, I have played at agility and obedience and have put several herding titles on my Aussie "Copper".
