| The fan is mounted inside the little plastic box. The air flows under the heatsink. The IGBTs and the D6 and D7 (RHRP15120) diodes are mounted on the same heatsink (they are insulated from the metal through an alumina sheet). R9, R10, D1, D2, C are mounted on the vertical PCB with short and large surface connections between them. The diode bridge was mounted on a heatsink too (on the right side of the box). The charging inductor can be seen on the left side of the box. The variac and the dimmer (optional) are mounted on the red plastic supports located near the table. The primary is wound on a plastic junk basket at 10 cm above the base of the secondary coil. You can make it on a sliding support to better adjust coupling. |
