SOLID STATE TESLA COIL USING ROYER CIRCUITRY

Solid state tesla coils are not easy to make, but they can be very spectacular. Particularly, the devices made with IGBTs (insulated gate bipolar transistors) offer a longer spark than the SSTCs with FETs, for the same power input, at a lower work frequency though ( < 100 kHz). That suppose a low resonant frequency secondary system.
  Solid state  offers a few major advantages: they don't use huge HV transformers, run quietly; lightness, beautiful streamers that can be touched by hand at low powers, great RF experiments.
  My solid state tesla coil uses a Royer circuit with two power IGBTs (BUP314).
