Centre Stage
Permit me to introduce myself. I am Adrian Talbot, "That Actor" as the Baron likes to call me. I take it as a compliment. After all, acting is an old and honour... well, an old profession, at any rate. Perhaps you would like to know more about me? I thought so. Read on.

Hell hath no limits, nor is circumscribed in one self place. For where we are is hell, and where hell is, must we ever be.

Christopher Marlowe penned those words in his play Doctor Faustus. That's Kit's portrait up above on the curtain, not mine. A picture of what might be my slightly younger, less pretty brother is on the left. (This is not, of course, me. It was simply as close as someone with a scanner and access to International Male catalogue could come to approximating what I look like.) Kit was my mentor, the one to whom I owe my acting skill. The one to whom I ... owe ... my vampiredom can be found in the tale listed below as Vampire Conventions.

Now that that pleasantry is dispensed with, let us get on with the important part of this page: stories about me. After all, that is what you are here for, is it not? [Just a brief warning from the author... these are not stories intended for younger audiences. I believe in free speech on the 'net, and I will not censor my fiction to satisfy those who don't think there should be anything "naughty" on the net. There are very adult situations and language in these stories. You have been warned.]

TO FANS, FRIENDS AND CASUAL STRANGERS: PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO POSSIBLE IMPENDING PUBLICATION, MANY OF THE STORIES FROM CENTRE STAGE ARE NO LONGER READABLE ONLINE. I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE, AND REST CONFIDENT THAT YOU WILL RUN OUT AND BUY THE BOOK. FURTHER DETAILS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ONCE KNOWN.

Meanwhile, please enjoy the stories that are posted here.

I meet a mysterious stranger, whose Shadowed Laughter I find disturbing.

Teething Pains, a story about Jake's problems, how we both met Evelyn, and what came of that. See below for Can of Worms.

Elementary Dentisty, in which a witch named Griselda takes care of Jake's overbite.

Adrian and the Campus Witch, in which the witch takes care of... er, me.

Many of you know that I am less than fond of Baron Gideon Redoak, and that he hates me. Yet we did operate together under a ... partial truce once, when we both competed for the chance to be Evelyn's mentor. You might say that we opened A Can of Worms.

It's back! The rewrite project fell through, so you can once again read Iranian Knights.

Here is the story of why I and the Baron... dislike each other so much. With, perhaps, a surprising ending. Truths Told.

The narrator was struck with terminal silliness, and so wrote the following piece: Tag: You're It!

And the sequel to "Tag" is now here as well... Hide And Seek.

An excellent idea: Personae For Dummies, an introductory piece explaining background and present situation of your persona. Here's mine: "If All The World's a Stage, I Want Better Lighting".

A new story; and a new love. My lover Matt and I have a Boyz Night Out .

And now there's a Portrait Gallery .
