Chuck Jones' performances are direct evidence of his ability to feel and express life's triumphs and tragedies deeply and effectively. Whether singing of love lost or found, Chuck is able to take his audiences on the emotional journey of a lifetime in just a few short moments.
Chuck's long running (3 years!) "Songwriters Showcase" has featured the Internationally Renown, Ray Wylie Hubbard, as well as Houston's finest writers and performers, including Selia Qynn, Melissa Adams, Ron Perry, Mark Alan Threadgill, and Ken Gaines. Chuck has consistently brought together just the right blend of songwriting styles and personalities, captivating showcase audiences.
Chuck has considerable experience playing a variety of venues. From Corporate Parties, Dining Rooms, Clubs, Outdoor Festivals, to Private Parties, he knows how to Turn it Up or Tone it Down according to what the situation demands.
Chuck has also performed regularly with K.R. Wood, in his "Fathers of Texas" show, along-side Steven Fromholtz, Gary P. Nunn and other Texas greats.
Venues Chuck has played include The Brazos Bottom Grill, The George Ranch, Diedrich's Coffee Houses, Borders Books, Ovations, and Mystery Manor, amoung many others.
In February of 1998, Chuck produced and performed in the opening Songwriters Showcase for the Houston Songwriters Conference. He has also been a regularly featured performer on KPFT radio.
Chuck's motto for promotion of his own gigs is "The more, the better!" He sends out notices to his large, and growing, mailing list, and e-mail list, as well as promoting through local publications, radio, and on his own Internet Web Page.
