We would like to take the time & say Thank You for coming to look at our website. We are a newly formed family unit that is currently seeking more members. You do not have to be military to join this unit. We are looking for all impressions (garrison, hardcore, family military, civilian, medical, special impressions, etc.). The founding members of this unit have been with other units before. Our primary goal is to portray one of the greatest periods in history, while at the same time having fun and fellowship. |

We are into the spring reenacting season. Our first event of the year was Gainesville, AL on March 10 - 11. It was a blast. There was plenty of food offered to us by the people that owned the land we used. The battles were great both days. It was small, with only about 150 reenactors there, but it was lots of fun for all. Pictures are coming soon. |

The second reenactment was the Battle of Ten Islands at Janney Furnace in Ohatchee, AL on March 31. It was a small battle. The men of the 17th Iowa fought valiantly, however, they were not able to fight off the numerous Confederate forces. The Confederate forces surrounded the Union army and forced them to surrender. |

The third event that we went to was The Battle of Selma, AL on April 13 - 15. The event was good despite being Friday the 13th & the raining on Saturday. Saturday's battle was canceled because of the continuous downpour of rain nad high winds and lightning. However, the winds and rain did not stop us from having fun. That is evident from a couple of the pictures you can see. Sunday's battle was great. Trees were blown up and the cabin was burned to the ground. The Federal forces were able to over-run the Confederate earthworks to capture several artillery pieces and men. |

The 4th reenactment that we attended was the Forrest-Streight Raid in Blountsville, AL on May 4 -6. This event is very small. There were very few reenactors at this event, as well as very little suitable camping space, but we made the most of what we had. Both Saturday and Sunday, the Confederates won. On Saturday, the Confederates were able to surround the Federal cabin & burn it down. On Sunday, the Confederates forced the Federals to retreat & surrender after capturing their supply wagon. There were several injuries & casualities. ???? |

Check back soon for the scoop on the last event of our reenacting season, which at Tannehill Ironworks in McCalla, AL on May 25 - 27. Tannehill is always a blast for us. We like to end the spring reenacting season with a bang and lots of food. We will be having a summer meeting (sometime soon) to discuss the upcoming events in the Fall. More information to come as soon as it is available. |
