Selma, AL: Despite the rain, we had tons of fun. The General Ken Sumner with a pink flower sticking from his hat (top left). "Defending the Fly", as we decided to call it. Several men of the Federal army did not have a place to get in out of the weather so we nicely offered the use of a fly in our camp. They decided to protect it (top right). The burning of the cabin as the Federal troops advanced through Selma (bottom left). Overrunning the earthworks to capture several artillery pieces and men (bottom right).
Blountsville, AL: The men of the 31st AL resting in the shade of several trees before the coming battle (top left). Men of the 31st AL fighting to defend their land from the Federal troops (top right). Artillery, cavalry, and infantry fighting for what they think is right (bottom left). The aftermath of battle, several wounded and dead (bottom right).
