National Team:
Members of the US elite level who compete

Neck:

Part of the long vaulting horse furthest from the gymnast.
Part of the pommel horse to the gymnast's left.

Needle Scale:
A balance on one foot, with the other foot lifted high behind, the body dropped forward and the hands either on the floor or gripping the ankle.

Neutral Deduction:
Points taken off a routine as a penalty for  violations of rules unrelated to a gymnast's performance. These include  stepping out of bounds, violating time requirements, and podium violations. The deductions are subtracted from the sum of the Difficulty (A) and Execution (B) Scores, or may be taken off a team's total.
