Camp Dixie Belle (named after my puppy) |
Joana Hiruru sat on the couch when her older sister, Heather, burst into the room with their puppy Dixie Belle at her feet. She carried a flyer. |
"JOANA!" Heather exclaimed, waving the flyer in Joana's face. |
"I didn't do it!" Joana exclaimed. Heather rolled her eyes. That was Joana's standard response whenever her name was yelled. |
"I know you didn't do anything. Today you haven't, anyway. But look what I found when I was at the school," Heather answered, holding up the flyer again. Joana took a quick glimpse at the flyer. |
"And you want to go to a summer camp?" she asked. Heather nodded. |
"It sounds cool. Plus, its name is Camp Dixie Belle. Must I continue?" Heather trailed off slightly. |
"And let me guess," Joana began. "You want me to go too don't you?" Heather again nodded. Joana sighed and walked into her room. She grabbed a backpack and began stuffing it with things. |
"Why are you packing now?" Heather asked. |
"Because if I don't, you won't leave me alone about it," Joana answered without looking up. |
On the other side of Odaiba |
"KWITHTEN!" Virgil exclaimed, prancing into Kristen's room, a flyer in his hand. Kristen sighed and took off her C.D. player. |
"What is it now, Virgil? Kristen asked irritated. Her brown hair moved slightly at the sudden snap of her head. Virgil first fiddled with his black hair, then continued. |
"Look what I found!" Virgil answered, holding up the flyer. Kristen read it. |
"You want to go to summer camp?" Kristen asked, slightly surprised. |
"Joana and Heather are going, too,' Virgil answered. |
"So that's who you were talking to on the phone," Kristen concluded. Virgil nodded. |
"Mama said to me that I can go if you go, too," Virgil explained. Kristen raised her eyebrows, and then nodded reluctantly. |
"GWEAT! I'll go tell evawebody," Virgil said, prancing out of the room. Kristen placed her fingertips on her forehead. She was going to have a very, very large headache. |
A few apartments away |
Davis Motimiya lie in his bed, snoring. Jun then walked in. |
"Davis," she said in the gentlest voice she could find. Davis didn't wake up. "DAVIS!" Davis bolted out of his bed. |
"What is it Jun?" he asked. Jun held up a flyer. |
"Summer camp?" Davis asked once he had read it. Jun nodded. |
"Matt's going!" Jun exclaimed with starry eyes. There was then a bang at the door. |
"JUN! GIVE THAT BACK!" Virgil yelled through the door. |
"Oh, all right," Jun answered, opening the door. Davis shook his head. |
"I'll go," he began. "But I guarantee you I won't like it!" |
Yet another few doors down |
Kari Kamiya sat on her couch, watching TV when there was a bang at the door. |
"KAWI! TAI! SOMEBODY! OPEN UP!" Virgil yelled through it. Kari giggled slightly, then opened the door. "Kawi! Wook!" Kari leaned down and read the flyer that Virgil was holding up. |
"Summer camp?" Kari asked. Vigil nodded. |
"Can you come? Me, and Kwithten, and Jun, and Davith are goin'!" Virgil asked. Kari smiled and nodded. |
"Sure. I'll tell Tai," Kari answered. Virgil was about to go off when he stopped. "What's the matter?" |
"Can you bwing me ova to T.K. and Yowei and Cody's apartments?" he asked. He then did the cute look. Kari smiled and followed Virgil out. |
T.K.'s apartment |
Virgil was about to ring T.K.'s doorbell when the door opened. |
"I saw you guys comin' from the window," T.K. answered their questioning faces. "What's up?" Virgil then held up the flyer. |
"Camp?" T.K. asked. Virgil nodded. |
"Are ya gonna come?" Virgil asked. |
(Let's just skip the rest of the convincing of the people) |
Joana sat on her couch. It had been a long few weeks since Heather had brought her the camp flyer. She looked down to see Dixie at her feet. She leaned down and picked her up. |
"Dixie, what will you do all summer without me and Heather?" she asked, petting Dixie's head. "Think Alex will actually stay home long enough to even notice you?" Dixie groaned and Joana sighed. Heather then came in wearing a camping outfit. Her digimon, Fillymon, behind her. Fillymon wore a fisher-style hat and a camping vest. |
"Do you honestly think that we'll be able to take our digimon?" Joana asked. Heather shook her head. |
"Nope, not in a million years. But, she just wanted to wear those and who can say no to that face?" Heather asked. Joana shook her head disapprovingly, then walked into her room to change into something a little less heavy. |
In some secluded spot in the forest |
"I wanna go to camp!" a digimon that looked like a gryphon complained. This was Gryphonmon, Kristen's digimon. |
"I know, but how are we going to get there?" Demiveemon asked. |
?I have and idea,? someone behind them said. They turned around to see Virgil. |
On the day they leave for camp |
Virgil lugged a huge suitcase when there came a sneeze from it. Virgil put it down. |
"SSHHHH!" he scolded. |
"Virgil, who are you talking to?" Kristen asked. She wore a white sleeveless shirt, a jean skort, a pair of flip-flops and a pair of sunglasses tucked on top of her head. She had her brown hair in a pony tail. |
"No one!" Virgil answered. He had on sneakers, a pair of white shorts, and a short-sleeved green shirt. |
"Well, it's time to get on the bus so, for once, why don't you leave your insanity behind? I want to have an enjoyable summer for once," Kristen said, putting down her sunglasses. Virgil followed her onto the bus, straining with the weight of the suitcase. |
Joana followed Heather onto the bus. Heather had on a camping outfit consisting of green shorts, a black shirt, brown ankle boots, a green fisher-style hat, ankle socks, and a brown, armless vest with pockets. Her dark blond hair was pulled up in a pony tail. Joana wore short purple shorts (yes, I meant to put short purple shorts) that had a pocket on one side, heeled sandals, a tight white short-sleeved shirt, and her glasses. Her brown hair was pulled back in to pony-tail braids. As they got on the bus, they saw Matt, Sora, Tai, Izzy, Joe, Kari, Davis, Kristen, Virgil, T.K., Ken, Cody, Yolei, even Izzy was there. Joana took her seat next to Heather and the bus started off. |
A few hours later |
Joana stepped off the bus and looked around. She observed many people walking around and talking. She took in a deep breath. |
"We're finally here," she said happily as she started walking. |
