Here is a little video I made of a working online match between me and _glook of boards.ign.com. Click here to watch 'SSBMonlineRuberbanding'
This video is one of my very first matches and is very useful to watch for many reasons. For one, it is a good example of what rubberbanding looks like(or is it a bad example) and it is also basically my first ever working online match with someone. Its 13 minutes long, but near the end there are better examples of rubberbanding, and I mention some useful stuff to give you an idea of how the gamecubes are communicating with eachother.

Other videos:

-2-Player Matches:

-----Video 1 Youtube-----

-Gameplay Footage of playing Super Smash Bros Melee for the Gamecube ONLINE. -Showing the full setup process from loading Phantasy Star Oline on the cube, to the end of the match in SSBM. -Update speed is set to 00000002, player scripting is default, Recorded from P1's screen, 5 min 47 sec.

-----Video 2 Youtube-----

-Gameplay Footage of playing SSBM for the Gamecube ONLINE. -Footage of what player-2's screen looks like, when Player-1 acts as the 'server'. Player 1 has all the scripts of p1 and p2 in his script page. Thus p1 has the advantage in that he experiences no lag, but p2 experiences slight lag due to needing to send and recieve back his own controller actions. -Update speed is set to 00000002, 3 min 52 sec.

-----Video 3 Youtube-----

-Footage of playing SSBM for the Gamecube ONLINE. -Mostly a video of setting up stuff in gcars, hardly any fighting. More confirmation on how real playing online with SSBM is. Memory card reminder, some theory of what is taking place on player-2's screen. -Update speed is set to 00000000, player 1 is the server(all scripts added to p1's script), Recording of what p1's screen looks like(plays flawlessly, no lag), 4 min 1 sec.

-----Video 4 Youtube-----

-Aftermath and _glook playing a decent online match, hardly any lag at all!

-4-Player Matches:

-----Video 1 Youtube-----

-Basically my first recorded 4 player online match. GOOD NEWS! I have successfully combined both videos, into one side-by-side comparison video! And I have it in 2 versions...normal speed, and half speed, so you can even catch all the details. The two files below are basically just the videos above combined into one. I timed them as perfectly synced as I could. Its in winrar zip format for faster downloads. check them out!

Slow-mo video of the 4 player match comparison.

Video of a real 4-player online battle between 4 different people on 4 different gamecubes. 2 of the 4 players had recorded the match, and both videos are combined into this one as a 'side by side comparison video'. Reason is because one of the players recording the match had chosen a character(mario) and was not seen on screen by the other player who recorded the same match on his tv screen. This match sort of happened on accident, but it easily demonstrates what how gcars-cs works, and how glitches/rubbbberbanding/desyncing happen. This is a side by side comparison video, so the left video was recorded by me(the person playing as Mario) and the video on the right was recorded by Aftermath(the person playing as Samus, who also coincidentally had a glitch in which Mario did not appear in game.)

Evidence that the 2 videos are connected, as the same game, is because in video 2 if you watch Fox, he is attacking, getting hit by, and recieving Damage from an 'invisible' character(Mario from the left video)

I've edited it so that both videos play in slow motion so you can see precise moves and details. I have also uploaded a normal speed video of the same match:

Regular speed video of the 4 player match comparison
