STOP! OR MY MOM WILL SHOOT (1992)
MORGAN'S RATING
Justice is served up family-style as Sylvester Stallone and Estelle Getty star in this mother of all action comedies. When top L.A. detective Joe Bomowski gets a rare visit from his feisty mom, Tutti, his life is turned upside-down. In no time, she is rearranging Joe's bachelor pad and meddling in his affairs, much to his embarrassment and the delight of his girlfriend, Gwen. To add to Joe's problems, Tutti witnesses a murder and becomes his unlikely partner when she refuses to divulge information unless she's allowed in on the investigation. Just when Joe is ready to kill himself, Tutti helps bring down the bad guys, proving Mother-knows-best in this outrageous action-adventure comedy.

CRITICAL COMMENTS
"One of those movies do dimwitted, so utterly lacking in even the smallest morsel of redeeming value, that you stare at the screen in stunned disbelief." -- Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun Times
"One-joke action-comedy which quickly wears thin; Getty's character, meant to be funny, comes off as thoroughly obnoxious." -- Leonard Maltin
"As irksome as it is, the concept is actually better for Stallone than the premises of his earlier awful romps..." -- Rita Kempley, Washington Post
"Delightful!" -- San Francisco Chronicle
