FACTS
RELEASE DATE: TBA 2005 (USA)
(DVD PREMIERE)
SHOOTING DATES: February 2002 -- May 2002
- Christian Slater plays a character named "J.D." - the same name of his character in
Heathers (1989).
- The film was originally scheduled for release in April 2003, then shifted to August 22nd, 2003. Now, Dimension Films have bumped the film back even more, to January 23rd, 2004. Test screenings proved well so the distributors pulled the movie from its slot to take more time to market it.
- Gerald Butler was set to play the Lucas Halpern character before dropping out to star in
Timeline (2003).
- The scenes in the FBI Headquarters were filmed at the "Haagse Hogeschool" in The Hague, the Netherlands. The building you see there is the school.
Bobby: (analyzing Girl at Bar) "Good evening, my fine young FBI friends. I am a pretty little thing just out of lit class at GMU. Please note the Jim Joyce in my tape spade. My parents are loaded as per my expensive emsemble and that 'J', where is it, on my key ring, means I'm either a 'Jill' or a 'Jennifer'. Those being the favorite names of beltway parents circa 1981. I like to hang with my girlfriends and have a good time but I'm really just a mature woman looking for a mature man."
J.D.: The lovely Nicole and her personal demons. I'm surprised there's enough room at the table for all of us.
Gabe: The island. The middle of nowhere. They're all professionals. What's the point?
Harris: The point is that they're isolated, alone, and forgotten. That's what it's like to be in the mind of a sociopath.
CRITICAL COMMENTS
Harris: Here we are. Crimetown USA. Where all the residents are dead...or about to be.
"Add a few genuine surprises and some plot twists along the way and what you have in Mindhunters is an enjoyable little thriller that helps us forget some of the rubbish that has been dominating our movie screens as of late." -- Morgan Muscat, The Action Kings
Lucas: I came out here to feed the ducks and I see your feeding the ducks. Maybe we could feed the ducks together?
Rafe: Did he just pull that gun out of his ass?
Gabe: Iny, miny, mino, mo. Who's the next motherfucker to go?
"An excellent addition to the genre...genuinely original, surprising and wholly exciting...the twists are never-ending." -- Clint Morris, Moviehole
J.D.: It's no fun unless it's a challenge, right?
