					Bitz: How is the new album coming along? “Ec”:  The album is coming along fine.  We hope to finish it in early 1990, but no title has been decided on at the moment. Bitz:  Why did you decide to become a five-piece band? “Ec”:  Essentially, 1927 was always a five-piece band.  Charlie Cole (the fifth member) was simply too shy to come out! Bitz: Have you been surprised at how successful 1927 have been in Oz? “Ec”:  Yes.  I think the success of 1927 is definitely because we appeal to so many different ages. Bitz: Do you get recognized much? “Ec”:  Yes Bitz:  1927 came third in for best group in our recent Readers’ Poll.  What would You like to tell our readers who voted for you? “Ec”:  Thank you for making us third.   Can you make us No. 1 next time? Hahahaha! Bitz:  Is having a young audience important? “Ec”:  Having a young audience is just as important as having an older one.   Everyone is important. Bitz:  What music are you listening to at the moment? “Ec”:  U2 Bitz: Have you seen any good films lately? “Ec”:  No, not really.  I haven’t had the time. Bitz:  Whats happening with your acting debut? “Ec”: I’m going to the Oscars. Hahaha! Bitz:  What do you get up to in the studio? “Ec”: In the studio I work very hard, apart from putting down vocals there is guitar work and general composer-type input and, of course, keeping up the vibe. Bitz:  How was your trip to Europe? “Ec”:  The trip to Europe was wonderful. Bitz:  Is making it big in America a priority for you? “Ec”: Making it big everywhere is the priority, including Australia. Bitz:  Is being a famous popstar all you ever thought it would be? “Ec”: Who is a famous pop star? Bitz:  What message do you have for all your fans? “Ec”: Our message to all our fans – keep on hanging in with the band and we’ll keep on hanging in writing good songs for you!
