SCIENCE
Everything started in college, when before A'levels everyone had to pick a direction, chosing between arts and sciences. Biology was picked by me over Geography, Physics over History and Chemistry over Art. I was attracted to Biology since O'levels and found human biology very interesting. Of course I had to go through the annoying times of having to memorise rediculous plant names and animal phyla, but I didn't really care that much. I found Biology easy because I found it interesting, I couldn't say the same for Physics or Chemistry. I knew that Biology was what I would do in the future and so it woudl be my choice for university. If there is one thing that scares me is to do something that I wouldn't like. I didn't pick a specialist topic at uni, and decided to do something very general, Biological Sciences, which covered a great range of BIology topics. In the final year I was introduced to some very exciting areas of Biology, esspecially neuroscience, neuroimmunology, biomolecular archaeology and archaeogenetics.  During my search for a PhD I was attracted to my current project due to my previous encounter with the Bone Morphogenetic Proteins and their extensive functions in many areas of Biology.
I  am currently working in the department of Molecular   Endocrinology and the good thing is that I am actually
enjoying it, so good news for me.
