Sulier, and welcome to the Language Page. Although Tolkien created about 10-12 languages, the only two that were truly developed were the two Eldarin languages: Quenya and Sindarin. Quenya, the language of the High Elves, will be the main language discussed on this page because of the large extent of grammar and vocabulary. There are several dialects of Quenya, but the Noldorin dialect during the Third Age will be taught. I hope that you find leaning Elvish as enjoyable as I have. But keep in mind, studying Quenya or Sindarin is like studying any other foreign language and takes a lot of time and commitment. |
