Hailing from the Mid-Michigan area, The Counterclockwise uses its heavy rock based roots, combined with elements of blues, jazz, and experimental music to create their own hybrid rock. Each member's individual expression and diverse influence is the foundation for their collage of sound.

The group started out as a studio project titled Mr. Forehead, consisting entirely of present Counterclockwise members; Travis Evans (guitar, Keyboard) and Rob Crozier (guitar, bass, keyboard). After a hiatus, in early 2000, Mr. Forehead underwent the cosmetic reconstruction that led to the addition of ex-Blind Addiction vocalist, Ryan Evans, and ex-Nebulous bassist/vocalist, Jamie Kissane. In mid-2001 Todd Thorp, ex-Butchery drummer, joined The Counterclockwise project.

The Counterclockwise released a six-song demo in May of 2001, featuring original songs such as, "Underssing My Memory", with a modern/retro rock and roll sound, and "Last Night's Dream", a more laid back, melodic cut. The demo is a sample of their musical collaboration, well representing the direction of the group.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy The Counterclockwise is coming.
