Korn News ARchives

April 27, 2000 -- This summer's tour w/ Metallica and guests is titled the "Summer Sanitarium" Tour.  Tickets are 465 dollars and go on sale this Saturday, April 29.

** A new version of "Make Me Bad" is on MTV called the "Sickness in Salvation Mix".  There are just a few subtle differences in the video.

** Korn once again had to cancel the Moline show due to Jon's voice giving out.  It should be rescheduled for August.

April 20, 2000
-- The next single & video from Issues will be "Somebody Someone".  The video will be directed by Martin Weiss and will be filmed in Los Angeles when the U.S. leg of the "Sick & Twisted" Tour ends.

David has rescheduled his
korn.com chat for April 27th at 4 p.m. PDT.

April 17, 2000
-- The chat with David has been cancelled.  Korn.com say they hope to reschedule.

April 13, 2000
-- David will be chatting at Korn.com on Tuesday April 18th at 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight time.

April 9, 2000
-- The Family Values '99 CD should be out May 23rd and will include "Falling Away From Me", "A.d.i.d.a.s.", and "Good God" from Korn.  No word on a video yet.

March 29, 2000
-- The rumors have shifted from a LB, RATM, & Korn tour to a Metallica, Kid Rock, & Korn tour.  The reason this is news worthy is that Feildy mentioned on radio in Toronto that this is a strong possiblity. Remember though this is just a RUMOR at this point.

March 14, 2000
-- Korn.com has finally released an official statement on David's injury.  The rest of the U.S. Tour will take place and the drummer's seat will be filled by Mike Bordin (formerly of Faith No More), while David is treated.  Korn hopes he is ready to go for the European tour.  The three cancelled dates have been rescheduled and are as follows:

Tuesday, March 21 Madison, WI
Friday, April 21 Minneapolis, MN
Saryeday, April 22 Moline, IL

The Fargo, ND show will be rescheduled soon.

March 13, 2000
-- It looks like tonights show in Moline, IL and tomorrow's show in Minneapolis, MN have also been postponed.  A spokesperson said that for now just three dates need to be resheduled, but what about the Fargo show that was cut short?  Wouldn't that make it four shows.  Also the April 11 date is incorrect for the resheduled show.  Most likely these dates will be made up at the end of the U.S. leg in April.

March 12, 2000
-- Apparentlly the Madison show that was cancelled last night has been rescheduled for April 11.  Still no word on the rescheduling of th Fargo, ND show.  Korn Army is reporting that a fan said that the two Chicago shows on 3/16 & 3/17 are going to happen so hopefully David's injury was not that serious.

March 11, 2000
-- 7.00 p.m. -- The band left the stage last night after 7 songs and returned about 15 minutes later.  David's wrist was bandanged and he apologized for having to stop the show.  It seems people began to boo but David told them that at least they came back out themselves to tell them and that they promised to make up the show as soon as possible.  For now last night's show and tonights show are simply postponed, not cancelled.  As for other dates this week there is no word yet as an official announcement has yet to made.  We'll keep you posted.

1:25 p.m. -- At last night's show in Fargo, ND David busted his wrist and the show was stopped.  Tonights show in Madison, WI has been cancelled.  No word on how this will effect the tour overall, but we'll keep you posted.  Remember it was less than a year ago that the last couple of dates of "Rock is Dead" were cancelled for similar reasons.  More on this breaking story as we get it.

March 8, 2000
-- Tune in tonight at 9:30 CST for Korn's Diary on MTV.  It features stuff about Korn on the road.

** It looks like P.O.D. (Payable On Death) may be opening Korn's European tour along with Orgy.  If you haven't heard this band check out their major label debut "The Fundamental Elements of Southtown" and visit their website
here.  They're one of the best new bands out there right now.

March 5, 2000
-- Kornography has been delayed and should be up at Korn.com on March 7th.

March 1, 2000
-- It is true that Jonathan and Fieldy are working on music for the movie "Queen of the Dammned".  It is a sequel to "Interview With the Vampire".  The film is nopt expected until next year though.

** European fans will also be given the chance to vote for the setlist trough Kerangg! Magazine for at least the 2 UK shows.

** The reason "No Place to Hide" is not being played is because Jonathan says "We fucking hate that song."  There you have it!

February 29, 2000
-- Starting this Thursday, March 2nd, a brand new edition of Korn TV will begin called "Kornography".  It will feature footage shot on the road during the current tour.  Tune in Thursday at Korn.com for more.

February 23, 2000
-- Korn won the grammy award for Best Short Form Video for "Freak On A Leash".  Congratulations guys!  At least the Grammy's succeeded where MTV failed in recognizing a great video.

February 21, 2000
-- A couple of newsbites for you:
** Who Then Now 2 is currently scheduled for May according to Sony Home Video
** Korn will not be appearing at the Grammy's since they are on tour
** The "Make Me Bad" single will feature "Dirty" and "Make Me Bad" live from the
Apollo Theater show, plus a remix by Butch Vig.  It should be released in Europe in March and should show up as an import in the U.S. in April.

February 13, 2000
-- Korn will hold another chat this Wednesday, the 16th at Korn.com from 4-5 p.s.t.  "Make Me Bad" is also expected to air for the first time on MTV Wednesday.

February 9, 2000
-- Some members of Korn held a chat on Monday night and a couple of news worthy itens did surface:
** "All in the Family" will not be included in the set, the band will choose a replacement
** "Trash" and "Somebody Someone" are possible future singles

February 4, 2000
-- The voting for the setlist is over and these are the 20 songs chosen based on the fans votes.  This will not be the order they will played though most likely.

Also, Korn's new video, "Make Me Bad", will premiere this Monday night, February 7th, on
Farmclub Tv.com at 11:00 et/pt.  The orignal reported date of March 10 is most likely wrong, because it seems doubtful the video would take a month to premiere on MTV.
