You May
on reading Beckett's 'Waiting for Godot'

At 7 you may wake
And eat a dead boiled egg
Meanwhile complain loudly about the cholesterol
And yell into your fridge that
You prefer cereals,
Or remain in bed and sulk
And sulk till the sun rub hard
On your fat so you sweat and start to smell.
You choose the former, today.
The latter, maybe, tomorrow.
Either way, you live, and
It passed the time.

and waste and
                                                             pine,we

In winter you may put on the blue socks he gave you
And ring your mom, love her very much
And tell her you love her very much especially
At Christmas,
Or brood upon the breakup, wish
He was here and recite every word
He's said, have a Hangoooooooooooooooooooooo ovaahh a Hangover on vodka while your mom cries
And the lighted skies are cilled but beautiful.
You chose the former, last year.
Next time, who knows! Anyway
It passed the time.

When it knells, you may bite your lips
And sob inside, decide to forget,
Swear so to yourself and be
Happy, happily jolly glad again,
Or collapse in a flood, reach out
For arms, for kisses for embraces,
And swear never to forget but've soon Forgotten.
At my funeral, you chose the latter.
At yours, who cares? but surely
It'd pass the time.

we waste and pine
                                                              and we .....

Since when? HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
Ha! We've forgotten.
Depart now, it seems not worth while
After all these time dreaming
That we're happy together,
I say my lines, all my funny lines
And still they get high on hearing
The 3-word lie, which only
Passes the time

             and pine
                                                  away we waste w

Which would have passed in any case.
