I met Heather and Tim when I started working at Spicer Corporation in 1996. I was a technical writer, Heather was a developer (with an unusual talent for writing) and Tim was the head of the QA department.
Heather and I didn't get to know each other really well until she was pregnant with Julia (although this didn't stop her from setting me up numerous times with pregnant in-jokes before we all knew she was expecting). Then, we started walking together and going to aquafit, which apparently Heather found slightly traumatizing...seeing a co-worker in a bathing suit is an odd experience. So she quit. Heather works at Software Metrics now.
Coincidentally, I quit a few months after Heather and started working across the street at Mitra. Both Heather and I noticed a vast improvement in our social lives at this point.
